Tradition and innovation: Organic Barolo

Langhe wines: made with love

Camparo history began in the summer of 1980, when Mauro decided to make wine from the grapes of the few vineyards around the winery, left to him by his father, in the Langhe area.

Since the beginning, Mauro realized that there was something he didn’t like about the method eveyone was using. So he decided to experiment new and more ecological cultivation techniques.

Just 5 years later, Camparo became part of a special family, that of organic certification.

The secret of the success of this family business lies today in continuing to draw on tradition, whilst always looking to the future and being ready to engage openly with the challenges of our times.

The varieties grown for three generations here, in the very best wine-making traditions of the Langhe and Piedmont, produce great reds - Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera - along with fresher wines such as Dolcetto and the white Favorita.

The Camparo story started out from dedication to the land, and has been carried forward by a drive for constant development to guarantee the highest standards of quality. Mauro’s children Sara, Alberto and Alessio represent the future of the business, and on the strength of their family
